Four possible extensions of Canberra LRT train

There were some exciting news about the Canberra light rail recently and I would like to keep you updated.

After the 12-kilometre line from Gungahlin to the city, which is to be finished in late 2018, the Canberra government has planned stage 2 of the lightrail extension. The four most popular routes resulting from consultation with the public are:

•    City to the airport along Constitution Avenue then Parkes Way;
•    City to the Belconnen town centre along Barry Drive and past Calvary Hospital and the University of Canberra;
•    City to the Parliamentary Triangle along either Commonwealth Avenue or Kings Avenue bride;
•    City to Mawson via Woden.
In July 2016, construction on the ACT light rail depot at Mitchell officially began.
